Now Open: Drive-Thru COVID-19 Coronavirus Testing in Houston

Remedy offers drive-thru testing for patients with COVID-19 coronavirus and influenza-like illness (ILI) symptoms, or possible exposure within the last 14 days in Houston, Texas.

Who Qualifies for Testing

Patients must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a legal guardian. There are no restrictions based on pre-existing conditions.

Where Is It Located

The facility is located in Houston, in the parking lot of Northwest Mall. Planned daily hours are 8AM-8PM, in order to match Remedy’s normal urgent care house calls hours, which are still available in addition to 24/7 Video Visits.

Address - 240 NW Mall Blvd, Houston, TX, 77092 next to Houston Granite and Marble

How To Get Tested

All patients must first book a 24/7 Video Visit, where our providers will assess, diagnose and recommend testing. Patients will be directed to the new testing center with an appointment time, and provided further instructions. The process is simple:

  • Book a 24/7 virtual visit online
  • Meet with the provider virtually at the appointed time. They will evaluate and help schedule your follow-up testing.
  • Arrive at the testing center 5 minutes before your scheduled time, and follow the on-site instructions.

Please note – the drive-thru is by appointment only, and not a “first come, first serve” process. Those arriving without an appointment will be directed to schedule from their vehicle.

What Types of Tests are Performed

Remedy offers both a PCR (nasal swab, activate infection) and an antibody test (blood draw, previous infection), and your provider will discuss your history and symptoms in order to recommended the appropriate test.

Open Air Clinic

The unique Open Air Clinic (OAC) is a necessity borne out of a need to continue providing urgent care for those who need it, but can’t visit a traditional brick and mortar clinic option for fear of exposure to COVID-19 coronavirus, a common and growing concern among those that need time-sensitive, but not emergency, medical care.

If additional follow up evaluation is needed on site, patients may be directed to the OAC for safe examination.

Cost & Insurance

Remedy is in-network with most major insurers + Medicare.

For the uninsured, the video-visit cost is a flat rate of $49. Additional costs for the labs vary based on availability of testing supplies and the laboratory used. Currently, the total cost can range from $65 – 75.

Remedy has always been committed to delivering care in whatever way is safest and most convenient. We’re eager to keep serving in this new capacity for as long as our neighbors need it.
